UptimeRobot Monitor: Chrome Extension for Server Status Monitoring
UptimeRobot Monitor is a Chrome extension developed by Shreyas Purohit that allows users to monitor server statuses using UptimeRobot API keys. With just a click of a button, users can easily view server statuses and receive desktop notifications for server up and down statuses.
One of the key features of UptimeRobot Monitor is its support for both Account and Monitor API keys. This allows users to choose the level of access they want to provide and ensures trust and security. The extension also provides immediate visible server up and down notifications in the browser action icon, making it easy to keep track of server statuses at a glance.
In addition to server status notifications, UptimeRobot Monitor also offers detailed statistics for Total, 1 day, and 7 day uptime percentages. Users can group monitors to view them separately in the extension display, and the options and data are stored using the Chrome storage sync API, allowing for synchronization between signed-in Chrome accounts.
The extension utilizes the jquery.plugin.uptimeRobotMonitor to provide a visually appealing visualization of server status and statistics. It also offers options to remove all stored data, configure the refresh interval for querying server statuses, and disable background notifications if desired.
To get started with UptimeRobot Monitor, simply install the extension and access the options to configure the required settings. Add the Monitor and/or Account API keys obtained from the UptimeRobot.com control panel, and assign a name, group, and color to each monitor. The extension allows for easy modification of settings and monitors even after they are added.
